Packing

On Saturday, I asked Alice to get everything together that she needed for the beach. She turned up with one shoe, a bottle of juice and a random straw. I was mentally transported back to my childhood, when my father used to proudly state that he had finished packing for a two week long family holiday, having placed a book and a flip flop into a suitcase. Two flip flops if my mother was lucky.
